So many people and events inspire us. Among the many are those listed here.
Soleris Santiago

We want to acknowledge Soleris Santiago as the designer of our logo. We conduct our “Dementia and Abuse Prevention: How Can YOU Make a Difference” for the health career classes at SUN Area Technical Institute in New Berlin. We had the graphic arts students sit in on this training the first year we were invited to the school. After that, six students offered designs for our new logo. It was a very difficult decision but Soleris’ design was chosen. We are honored to use this beautiful and thoughtful design and are deeply appreciative of her kindness.
Here is the significance of her unique and creative design …
- The hands are young, embracing the elderly.
- The butterfly signifies metamorphosis….evolution into beauty. We took a horrible situation and turned it into advocacy and impetus for change.
- The A stands for Alice, who we honor in our work and is the catalyst of Journey to Justice.
- The 16 purple dots signify the 16 other victims of this case of elder abuse.
We thank Soleris for her passion and creativity.
